TempleDAO CTP 7

Lost Boy: Team still decompressing from Opening Ceremony, a few medium articles coming over the next couple of weeks to expand on future plans.

Broadly: Team discussed a potential Audit, Liquidity provision and expanded upon the organisational thesis of TempleDAO. There is an aim for Temple to provide a comprehensive product with incentivised community participation in addition to the financial component.

Opening Remarks

Disclaimer: TempleDAO is NOT a cult (promise)

Some drama – RomeDAO used Temple’s organisational model (enclaves) – team is broadly pro this, although Rome didn’t approach Temple about it. In general more forks = more better, more ppl who base their organisations on Temple’s is good for Temple network effect

TempleDAO is a product that contains 3 sides:

Defi – financial mechanics

GameFi – turning the game into something w/ financial incentives (Opening Ceremony)

OrgFi – creating a structure within the organisation to allow easier monetisation of contributions and compensation for contributors, allow individuals to progress into the DAO

Enclaves are smaller communities within the DAO with a place to engage – Gamified more active form of governance “we’re only just beginning”

Security/Audits

At the end of fire ritual process – said that they would set up a multisig and put it across all contracts – a few unexpected glitches at the start of the opening ceremony meant that the team had to remove multisig form one contract in order to hotfix that contract – end of OC, team added multisig back onto that contract – using Gnosis Safe which is the industry standard (multisig can only be removed by the multisig)

Originally, team discussed w/ community whether or not to go for a large-brand audit – talked to ~10 audit firms, found 1 or 2 were credible, but couldn’t complete for 3-4 months – other audit firms were questionable quality – had audited rugpulls etc

Instead found all the best devs from their network – went with a dev who had been part of the ethereum foundation – went through contracts line by line and discussed the code, came out w/ a lot of new insights, a few best practice/efficiency suggestions but no major issues found.

Lots of fingering jokes (bullish)

Accumulated the most RFV of any treasury – more people asking for an official audit – Temple team happy to do this, but may take a few months to book in with a top-tier audit firm.

Going to do a poll about what poll would give the most confidence to the community – also planning to institute a bug bounty

Liquidity

Next topic – wen AMM?
